Trophies & Awards
Each year over seventy trophies are presented by the Lord
Mayor of the City of Perth to winning teams, companies and
individuals.
Winning team trophies are for mixed and male divisions in
most sports.
Individual trophies are awarded to celebrate the value of
sportsmanship and the spirit of having a go.
Home Sports Star of the Year
Each year a Corporate Challenge participant is
selected as the Bank of Queensland Sports Star of the year.
In 2005 the winner was Rocco Speranza from GHD.
Rocco played for a variety of GHD teams and was the
outstanding player of the year in a variety of sports.
Rocco showed great sportsmanship and has been a great example
to others with his good team play.
Bank of Queensland Corporate
Challenge Trophy - Major
This trophy is awarded to the best performed
company over the year's events.
Points are awarded to each company from your best performed
team in a round of events.
In 2005 the Bank of Queensland Corporate Trophy was won by
GHD.
GHD won full points in each round of events in 2005.
Along with Main Roads WA and Wood Group they have been the
outstanding performers in the Corporate Challenge in recent
years.
Bank of Queensland Corporate
Challenge Trophy - Minor
This new trophy is awarded to the best performed
small company over the year's events.
To qualify for this trophy a company must not have won the
Major trophy in recent times.
At present all companies are eligible to win except for the
big three companies - GHD, Main Roads WA and Wood Group.
Department of Sport &
Recreation Player of the Series Awards
For each round of sport played the Department of
Sport & Recreation presents the Player of the Series
Awards.
These are awarded to the outstanding player in each round of
games.
The emphasis is on good sportsmanship, fair play and having a
go.
Lord Mayor's Trophy
The Lord Mayor's Trophy is awarded to the best
performed team each year.
The winners in 2005 were Wednesday Adams from Main Roads WA.
Participation Trophy
The Participation trophy is awarded to the
company with the most teams entered in the Bank of Queensland
Corporate Challenge.
GHD won this trophy in 2005 with 67 teams.
