Challenge - Final Results
Some Approximated Facts & Figures.
There are now 1451 registered participants in the Cycle Instead in Spring Bike to Work Challenge.
In six weeks we’ve travelled 449,792km. Thats over 11 times around the world.
This converts to a saving of around 134,500kg of CO2 emissions in the environment.
We’ve saved of around $67,500 in fuel costs.
Around 60,000,000 kilojoules in energy have been burned during your rides. This equates to approximately 50,000 Mars bars.
Plus our hearts and lungs are much healthier. Well done everyone.
Major Prize Winners 2007
The SkyWest Airlines and Carnarvon Central Apartments prize was won by Nicola Emanuel from the Fairer side of Nowergup team representing Public Transport Authority.
The Sorrento Beach Resort prize was won by Aaron Middleton from the Road Train Dodgers team representing Dept of Agriculture & Food.
Three ‘Giant Sedona’ Bikes were won by:
Cath Watson from the IMS team representing WA Police. (Novice Prize).
Angela de Gracie from the By-laws team representing Woodside. (Female Prize).
Raymond Wu from the Sweet n Go team representing Royal Perth Hospital. (Male Prize).
